Audience participation with smartphones

A recent talk presented an opportunity to try out some basic audience participation using smartphones. The web application serves a unique URL to each smart phone via the use of a barcode printed for each seat. This enables the user to change the colour of a corresponding block on the front screen.

Although a simple application, it will form the basis for more complex audience interaction applications.
